On September 13, 2024, I had the honor of photographing the grand opening of Aisle24.ca’s newest location in Montreal. Aisle24 is a modern self-service convenience store offering a unique shopping experience. Customers can walk in, select their items, check out independently, and leave—all at their own convenience. Best of all, the store operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, making it a game-changer for busy city life.
The launch event was a resounding success. Hundreds of curious Montrealers attended to explore the innovative shopping concept and see how the self-checkout system worked firsthand. The energy was electric, with visitors buzzing about the store’s potential to revolutionize the local corner-store experience.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, directors from Aisle24’s Toronto head office were present to engage with the crowd. They generously handed out complimentary snacks and drinks, ensuring everyone felt welcome and excited to be part of this milestone.
As the event photographer, my mission was to capture the joy, innovation, and sense of community surrounding this special occasion. I focused on photographing the lively interactions between attendees, the sleek design of the store, and the smiles of customers as they tried out the self-checkout system.
To ensure that the excitement of the day was quickly relived, I delivered the final edited photos to Aisle24 the very next day. Seeing the client’s satisfaction with the quality and speed of my service was the cherry on top of an already memorable event.
