On June 12, 2024, I had the incredible privilege of photographing a special graduation celebration for the McGill University Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) program. The event, held at the stunning Hotel Place d’Armes in the heart of Old Port Montreal, was a perfect blend of elegance and joy.
The celebration brought together over 100 accomplished students who were there to mark the culmination of their academic journey. The evening was a lively mix of heartfelt speeches, laughter, and camaraderie. Guests mingled, enjoyed exquisite food and drinks, and reflected on their hard-earned success in an atmosphere brimming with pride and accomplishment.
From the moment I arrived, the energy in the room was contagious. My goal as a photographer was to capture not only the formal moments but also the candid emotions—the laughter, the cheers, and the small, meaningful interactions that made the night unforgettable. The Hotel Place d’Armes, with its beautiful architecture and ambient lighting, provided a magnificent backdrop for the photos.
The very next day, the students received their photos, allowing them to relive the highlights of their memorable evening. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and I was thrilled to know that my work helped preserve such a significant milestone in their lives.
