Fixing distortion created by a wide angle lens on Photoshop

Fixing distortions created by a wide-angle lens

Wide-angle lenses allow you to put a lot more in your frame, but that image can be distorted.

In this case, the woman looks too wide, due to the distortion of the wide-angle lens. Let’s face that.

  • Duplicte the original layer
  • Go to Edit on the top menu
  • Chose Transform
  • Perspective
  • Click on the top handle and drag it upward, that will stretch the image vertically
  • Duplicate the transformed layer
  • Select Filter on the top menu
  • Liquify
  • Pick the Foward Warp Tool
  • Size 70, Density 27, Pressure 32
  • Click and drag inward
