I am giving some of my photos for free. If you like one, just take it

For years I have been taking photos in places where I see beauty. I share some of those photos in my Instagram page and Facebook page, I store them in my hard drive, and after a couple of year, when I don’t remember them any more, I delete them from my hard drive in order to create more content.

The sad reality is that it’s mostly Instagram and Facebook the ones who get the most benefit for my images. They use them to drive traffic to their website and make money with it.

I decided to create more benefit for people who appreciate my art and for myself by giving my photos away.

I decided to use Unsplash as my partner for doing this. The reason why I need a partner and I don’t do it by my self in my website is that to store high quality images stored on my website would slow down my website too much and I would be penalized by the search engines for having a slow website, in addition, by hosting bill would go up for using more data to store higher quality images. In addition, Unsplash has a lot more traffic than my website and more people are exposed to my photos.

How does it work?

If you see an image in my gallery that is labeled as “FREE” all you have to do is click on the image and you will be directed to the place where that image is stored and you can download it for free. There is nothing on your part that you have to do other than to hit that “Download” button. If you use the image for whatever purpose you want, I would love it if you give me credit and link back to my website, but this is not not necessary, this is just a way to show your gratitude, not an obligation.

Which photos are free and which ones are not?

In general, all the photos of nature, landscapes, cityscapes and animals are free. Also the photos of people where the face is not clearly distinguishable. Those photos where a person’s face is clearly recognizable, for the most part will not be available, unless they are a public figure such a politician, and athlete, or a performing artist. In short, if I label them as “Free” they are free.

I hope you enjoy the photos, and if you have any suggestion, I would love to hear it.
